Manadate of Chief Commissionerate for Afghan Refugees.

  • Advise the Federal Government (SAFRON) on policy formulation and its implementation on all matters relating to Afghan Refugees.
  • Monitoring and Evaluation of programs being carried out by provincial Commissioners for Afghan refugees, International Organizations and NGOs
  • Coordination for repatriation of Afghan refugees
  • Implementation of RAHA development activities

KEY SECTORS

HEALTH WING

Health Wing

The focus is strengthening Primary and Secondary Health Care Services. Basic Helath Units (BHUs), Rural Health Centres (RHCs), district and provincial hospitals are supported to provide direct health care to target Afghan Communities.

EDUCATION WING

Education Wing

CCAR aims to ensure “inclusive and equitable quality education and life long opportunities for all”. CCAR through RAHA interventions are designed to enhance access to quality education and improve the teaching and learning environment with a view to increasing school enrolment and reducing drop-out rates

COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT

Community Development

Activities Community development include:

  • Construction/rehabilitation of street pavements and village/farm to market roads
  • Construction/rehabilitation of bridges, irrigation and flood protection schemes and energy related infrastructure
  • Construction/ rehabilitation of waste management systems
  • Provision of solar for communities that are off the nation electrical grid
  • These types of projects facilitate socioeconomic growth for the most vulnerable and marginalized communities.

Water Supply Scheme

WASH activities include:

  • Construction of dams, water supply schemes, irrigation channels, tube wells, hand pumps, sewage lines, water tanks and wash rooms
  • Construction of latrines and hand washing facilities
